This is our second vintage of Andretta from Tenuta Vitanza, named after the husband of the winery owner Guido Andretta, as a present to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. Guido wanted his wife to make a masculine Brunello with more new French Oak, and she obliged with Andretta. 100% Sangiovese, aged 36 months in French tonneaux. Full-bodied, smooth, and powerful with aromas of dark chocolate, cherry, porcini mushrooms and a hint of coffee. Best of all, this 2015 is drinking well in its youth plus can hold another 15-20 years.
